Meet Miss California

Miss California is our beloved dairy Jersey cow, proudly born and raised at Prancer’s Farm. She plays an important role in agricultural education, helping students and visitors learn about dairy farming, cow care, and the responsibility involved in raising healthy livestock. Miss California is proudly part of the Fresno Dairy Council and travels throughout the school year to visit schools, where she teaches students how Jersey cows produce milk, how cows are properly cared for, and the important role dairy cows play in everyday life.

Hands-On Experience at the Farm
At Prancer’s Farm, guests can hand-feed Miss California directly from their hand on a daily basis. This up-close interaction allows visitors to build a respectful connection with a dairy cow

while learning about gentle handling, animal trust, and daily care routines.

Miss California represents the heart of hands-on agricultural education—bringing learning to life through real experiences with real animals.
